So you’ve already seen these guys’ engagements, and bridals/formals, so all that’s left now is the PARTY. Which in my mind, is as it should be! We captured them on their way out of the temple, did some quick groups and hit the road… which was convenient because it was if I remember correctly literally over 100 degrees that day. That afternoon and evening the party moved over to the Maddox in Perry. This is just a random sampling – some of my favs. Being that these guys have been my friends for some time, I have a lot of reception pictures of these two pulling faces at me into the camera which I really REALLY wanted to post on here, but I resisted. Ha. Maybe I’m too nice!
Alex and Kaylie are back for the wedding! These two are my “i’m not gunna get married” couple!
They’re so nice, so happy, so friendly and beaming on their wedding day. Their family is so supportive and happy. This was a real party at their reception, everyone dancing and playing. So Alex and Kaylie, even though you weren’t going to get married, I think you each found the right person for the job. Lots of love for the rest of your eternities!
Natalie is my contest winner from the beginning of the season. This is another ‘reverse destination’ wedding (for me), as I like to call them, haha. The bride and groom are from Texas and out here to tie the knot and escape the heat! These two love the out of doors, are a lot of fun, and you can just tell they love each other very much. Good luck ya’ll!
Tami and Jeramie’s day was hot as hot, but they were such good sports to run around with me. They arrived early before the ceremony so we could sneak away for some portraits of just the two of them, which is sometimes hard to sneak away for. But they did awesome and we got some nice shots! At this point they’ve been married a minute, but like I said on the day guys, congrats! May you have an amazing and long life together.
So the summer has meant lots of shooting for me. So I am behind in my blog posting. I think I need a cheap blogger at my disposal, anyone know one? I know this family is so excited to see these, so sorry guys it has taken a minute, thanks for your patience! We had these guys for engagements awhile back, and now we got back together for the BIG DAY! I am excited for these two and I hope they’ll always be as happy as they were this day. They were both glowing. I love these guys’ bold color choices, and check out that gorgeous bridal bouquet!
This was another one of my reverse ‘destination weddings’ of sorts. Where I haven’t traveled, but the couple has. The Logan temple has significance for Megan and her family so even though they live far away they packed up and decided to get married here. Actually for the groom almost any temple they would have chosen to get married in would have meant significant travel… he’s currently in the air-force stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Okinawa was also where the couple were headed after their honeymoon. Now THAT’S starting your new adventure with a big adventure!!! Good luck kids!!!
This couple may have taken their time finding each other, but I know they’ll make up for it in the long run. So in love and so fun. Paul likes to make faces and crack jokes. Paul, Sharolyn and I joked after the wedding about running to Burger King in our wedding gear to snap a few shots and have a little brunch! Maybe next time they’re in town!
Alright, I broke the posts for this event up. Last time I posted their couple portraits – the session we did at the temple before their wedding – but we did several days worth of events for this wedding, so I couldn’t choose just a few for one post. I had to do two. Last time the couple’s pictures, now the party! Enjoy!
I met with Kara but had never met Jake when we set out to do these pictures. He protests to being bad at taking pictures, but I disagree. Kara was a natural at big smiles, and he had the natural serious brooding expression. So they’ve got balance in their relationship already! These guys have a whole series of events, but just before they kicked off the wedding festivities they did their couple portraits (I like to lovingly call them ‘groomals’ when it’s not the wedding yet, but you have the groom along for pictures, but they are called different things by about every photographer.) I figured I’d make a post just of the portraits of the two of them that we did, and then I’ll do another post with the rest of the event pictures. Yay for cute couples! Leave some comment love for the love birds!
In keeping with tradition on my blog – the weather: Snow, lots of snow… really bad in the morning, and fortunately it let up a bit while we were shooting, but you’ll see by the bride and grooms hair that we were still getting it. And graaaayyyy, oh so gray out. Nothing could dampen these kids spirits though. This was a couple I hadn’t met. They’re not from Logan, so this was a destination wedding of sorts and I got hired over the phone for just the wedding. So as a recent casual observer it was so sweet how obviously these two adored each other. Stealing kisses and cuddling whenever the chance was had. Sweet. So good luck guys, may your marriage be as happy as you were this day always.
