BEHIND THE LENS
My interest in photography probably started because my dad was interested in photography. I remember turning the knobs on his sturdy old Canon and opening the film door and looking inside wondering how it worked. I bought my first ‘real’ camera, film of course, when I was 18 and ran home to shoot pictures and try out all the settings. I took more photography in college and learned to develop my own film - which is amazingly fun. Even though I shoot digital now, I think a lot about how fun it would be to have my own dark room. I’d love to say that I know everything there is to know about photography, but I know I’m still a student. Learning something new every day whether from reading photography blogs or talking to other photographers and learning their secrets, is just a part of the progression. Photography styles change and though I think it’s fun to dabble in the photoshop trends, my ultimate goal is to be a photographer who is classic and timeless
My business is a dream I always had. It's my creative and social outlet! I love meeting new clients and finding common ground. I definitely know how hard it can be to be in front of the camera! Not easy! I try to have so much fun on my sessions that people just forget about that part and have fun!
